The Ebersole Piano Company was controlled by the Smith & Nixon Piano Company in Cincinnati, Ohio from about 1890-1929. Smith & Nixon was an old renowned American piano manufacturer during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and they marketed the Ebersole line of pianos as a quality yet affordable alternative to their costlier Smith & Nixon brand instruments. The firm was also affiliated with the Goldsmith Piano Company of Chicago, and they manufactured a number of pianos for Knabe Brothers before going out of business with the Great Depression. |
