George M. Weber joined the firm in 1865 and became owner in 1869. For a
short time, around 1887, the firm was called Stevenson & Co. In 1896
William H. Wormwith was a partner in the firm and in 1907 the company
name was changed to Wormwith Piano Co. .Both Weber and Wormwith
names were used on pianos. Henry Richardson bought control in 1919 and
changed the name to Weber Piano Co. Ltd. Around 1928 Weber made a
line of pianos for Heintzman. Heintzman later had these Weber pianos
made by Sherlock-Manning. In 1939 Lesage bought the Weber assets and
continued to use the name. Weber/Wormwith also built a piano named
Columbia from 1909 t0 1917, see Columbia for serial numbers.
